Chris Cain has released his 16th album, Good Intentions Gone Bad on the prestigious Alligator Records label.
On Friday, July 19, 2024, Alligator Records will release Good Intentions Gone Bad, the new album from award-winning guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Chris Cain Blues Guitarist. Good Intentions Gone Bad is Cain's second Alligator album where he delivers thirteen new original songs, seven of which add a swinging horn section to the mix. Chris Cain is happy to announce he has accepted an invitation to join the GHS Strings family. Chris has been using GHS Boomers throughout his career and, despite occasional lapses using other brands, he always comes back to GHS 10-46. They consistently give him the tone he needs and do a better job of holding up to those deep bends. A big shout out to Riccardo Piccirillo for this wonderful photo. Take some influence from B.B. King, Albert King, Ray Charles, and a pinch of Albert Collins. Add in dazzling blues and jazz guitar chops, a rich soulful baritone vocal delivering original, often wry and beleaguered lyrics with sophisticated chord changes and instrumentation, and skills on various horns and keyboards, all delivered with an uptown cool that never lacks searing passion. It all adds up to the one and only Chris Cain, who has gone from being a newcomer phenomenon bursting onto the blues scene in 1987 with a classic debut release, to being a legend, inspiration and long-established member of the blues pantheon.
